21st May 2013

Firstly a big thank you to all our supporters who came along to the spring concert. It was a great success and thanks also to the Brass Class for their contribution . Since the concert we have had our A.G.M and are now preparing music for the Church Fete on 25th May at Cadhay. We plan to play two sessions of music during the morning. We will be hoping for some sunshine for the day or at least not rain!. On June 1st we are playing at the first Family and Food Festival in Ottery. This should be an exciting new engagement. June 27th is our first performance at Connaught Gardens, so make a date in the diary , pack the picnic and come along for a relaxed evening’s entertainment in the beautiful gardens. This starts at 7.45pm. The band is also playing at the gardens on July 8th.

We are hoping to join forces with the Church Choir to perform at the Ottery Festival on July 18th. We certainly have plenty of music to practice. July 25th sees us back at the Connaught Gardens in the evening.

The band is grateful for the help of so many people who give freely of their time week after week. We would also like to thank our regular band members and also the players from other bands who help us out from time to time . Our efforts would not be worthwhile without our Musical Director  Andrew Harris who inspires us to perform to our limits. If you would like further information about the Band or Brass Class please contact Brian Baker on 01404 814502.
