Brass Class

If you are learning to play a brass instrument, want to make music with other brass musicians or want to have fun while you learn more about music Brass Class could be the group for you.

What is Brass Class?

Brass class is currently made up of 15 enthusiastic young brass players of different ages and abilities who meet every week to learn about and make music together.

What does Brass Class Do?

Brass Class encourages local brass players to experience playing as part of a group in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We perform in three local concerts a year and in June 2011, entered the group in “Ottery Has Talent” where we won first prize for the best group performance. Brass Class practices music written especially to suit the standard of all the musicians in the group; usually based on a theme. We actively encourage Brass Class members to join in with the Ottery St Mary Silver Band to gain more experience in playing with a Brass Band.
